2020-WHAT AN EXTRAORDINARY YEAR AT CHELSEA PRIMARY!
We cannot believe how fast this year has gone! What another fantastic year it’s been at Chelsea Primary School working with such a great group of people…..even though it was a strange old one!
Remote learning was indeed a challenge but in the true ‘Chelsea Way’ we got through it due to the amazing partnership between home and school.
We are so fortunate have such wonderful students, staff and community who all make Chelsea PS such a special place.
The success of Chelsea PS just doesn’t happen by chance – it stems from the collaboration and community spirit that is created when students, staff and parents come together on a shared journey. We would therefore like to thank all members of our school community-School Council, our Green fingered Team, fundraisers, grant seekers, bankers, working bee-ers for their support this year.
We especially would like to acknowledge our amazing teaching staff for their commitment to building such strong learning programs and the passion they have in supporting students’ academic, creative and cultural experiences and wellbeing. You have gone above and beyond this year!
Thank you to the Administration team (the A-Team) -Jacky Russell, Jacqui Waltzer and Ledam N. for ensuring our accountabilities are met, our visitors are greeted with a smiling face and operations run smoothly every day.
To our dynamic student support team –Michelle Tilley, Tanya Todd, Sue Bray, Tamlyn Dwyer, Bernadette Burton, Marie Lancaster, Revere Beynon, Lorella Baltas, Nick Rees and Katie Lockyer, thank you for the amazing support you provide in classrooms for students; as well as helping out in sick bay, the garden, Breakfast Club, the Chill Out Room, cooking lessons and lunchtime programs.
We would like to thank Margaret, Barbara and Andy for keeping our students safe as they cross the road to school. (Always with a smile).
To all our year 6 students who are leaving Chelsea PS, we wish you all the very best in the next chapter of your schooling. You have grown into a mature and responsible group of young people. It has been great getting to know you all. Tuesday night’s graduation was a brilliant celebration of your years at primary school. We all look forward to your return visit early next year.
We can imagine many Year 6 parents can remember dropping their child off on their very first day of Primary School and now you are very close to seeing them move onto their next school chapter. There is a lot of reflection, celebration (and some tears) and memories they will never forget. Thank you to our Year 6 families for their support over their years at Chelsea.

WORKING BEE THANK YOU
Thank you to all our families who came along last Sunday to tidy our school grounds to finish the year. Tasks such as sweeping, trimming, painting, planting, weeding, mulch spreading, pruning and playground tidying tasks all happened within 3 hours! They say ‘many hands make light work’ and this was certainly evident! Thank you to the following families-Robinson (last one!), Neville, Lancaster, Erlandson (last one!), Pool, Hedley, Cassidy, Adanir, Ronan.
We really appreciate your time at this very busy time of the year.
We wish everyone a safe and Merry Christmas and a relaxing holiday period and look forward to catching up with all your news on
