Our school zone

 

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones. Please use google chrome when searching for school zones.

 

Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address. 

 

The Department provides guidance through the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.

Enrolment Management Plan

Chelsea Primary School has had an Enrolment Management Plan (EMP) in place for the past three years, due to the school reaching its built capacity.

 

The Enrolment Management Plan has been implemented by the Department of Education to support the management of enrolments and ensure the school can continue to provide safe, high-quality learning environments.

 

The school currently has approximately 410 students enrolled.

As a result:

  • Students who reside within the school’s designated zone are prioritised for enrolment, subject to verification of their permanent residential address.

  • Enrolment applications from students who live outside the school zone may only be considered if capacity permits, and in line with the Department of Education’s School Placement Policy.

  • Families who live outside the school zone are encouraged to contact their designated neighbourhood school or use Find My School to identify local options.

The Enrolment Management Plan supports responsible planning and the sustainable use of school facilities, staffing and resources.
