Information on finding, enrolling, and starting a child in your care at a school in Victoria is available on the Victorian government website.

  • Documents must be no more than 3 months old at the time of presentation. Evidence of identity and date of birth (for example, birth certificate or passport)
  • Immunisation status certificate
  • Visa (if applicable)
  • Other legal orders relating to your child and their welfare (if applicable)

Timeline of enrolment:

  • Schools can receive enrolment applications from parents/carers from the start of Term 2, 2023. To be eligible for Foundation enrolment in a State Primary School, a child must be 5 on or before the 30th April.
  • Enrolment application form from parents/carers are to be submitted by Friday, 28th July 2023.
  • School to notify parents/carers of the outcome of the enrolment applications by Friday, 11th August 2023.
  • Written appeals from parents/carers are to be lodged with schools by Friday, 25th August 2023.
  • School to notify parents/carers in writing of the outcome of appeals by Friday, 15th September 2023. 

Enrolment applications submitted after the application due date of 28th July 2023 will be processed by the school as they are received.

 

Immunisation Information

All students enrolling at Chelsea Primary are required to have a School entry immunisation certificate. This enables accurate information in the event of a communicable disease outbreak. The certificate shows the immunisation status of the student. It is a legal requirement for parents/guardians to provide this certificate with enrolment.
